3 Christmases

We had Christmas together, with Mike's parents and then with my parents.  We always open our family Christmas presents Christmas Eve with the "Santa present" Christmas morning.  With Mason being so small we did the "Santa present" Christmas Eve.  Santa came while Mason and I were with his Grandma in his bedroom.  Strange :)

Mason LOVED his new kitchen!  It is his favorite toy!

This is just a small part of the tent that Papa and Nana got Mason.

The rest of the tent would take up our entire living room.  It is totally cool, but HUGE!

We had such a wonderful 2 week vacation at Christmas!  Spending time with Mason and his first Christmas was SO awesome!  We are not ready to go back to work.

Christmas Party

We went to a Christmas party at dear friends of ours.  Mason loved "decorating" the cookies (and eating icing).  He loves spending time with his friends.

Certificate of Citizenship

The last piece of paperwork for Mason was mailed off today.  His certificate of citizenship form.  It's weird to think that I don't have more paperwork to do for him.  We have been working on paperwork for Mason for over 2 years.  Yikes.

We still haven't gotten his social security card.  Going on 3 weeks when the lady at the social security office said it would take 2 weeks.

The COC form goes up $200 next week so we thought we would risk sending it in without Mason's social security card.  I guess if they have to have it, they can let us know and we will send it in when we get it.

What a week!!

Mason was running a fever Sunday thru Wednesday.  2 trips to the doctor's office with me almost in tears because the doctor just said he had a virus and there was nothing he could do for it.  He did rule out things with a chest x ray and blood work.  So--it was just tylenol and ibuprophen for days, rest, and fluids.  Then a call yesterday at almost 5:00 saying that one test showed he might have strep.  So--antibiotics.  Much better today!

Of course Mike and I still had to go to Wichita to USCIS to get fingerprinted today for little brother.  Thank God for Mike's parents.  We dropped Mason off at 5:30 this morning so we could make it to Wichita by 8:00.  Then we had Christmas pictures for Mason at 4:30.  What a day!  What a week!

AND it's not even Friday yet!

Halloween 2010

Mason adores Elmo!!  Mike spent an hour cutting an Elmo jack o lantern so Mason could see Elmo.  Unfortunately, Mason's Mama got him an Ewok costume months ago (before he fell in love with Elmo).  He had a hard time keeping the hood on.  Why do companies make costumes with hoods not attached for kids his age?  He kept yanking the hood off.

REFERRAL!!

October 21, 2010 at 11:45 I got a call from our social worker.  She said Mason has a baby brother born September 27, 2010.  She wanted to know if we wanted him.  Well, duh!  OF COURSE!  She asked me if I wanted her to call Mike.  NO!  I called Mike and told him Mason has a baby brother.  It took him a few minutes and then he said "Wait a minute.  A brother brother?!"  We both were like "O MY GOSH!!"  We pulled up his picture on my email at the same time--Mike at his work and me at mine.  My email was messed up like always so Mike had to email Holt Oregon to tell them we would like to have him.  Then, of course, the calls were made to our families about Mason's brother.  What a wonderful day!!

Mason's Baptism

July 2010 Mason was baptized at St. Patrick's Church.  My sister and brother-in-law his Aunt Tina and Uncle John are Mason's godparents.  Mason's white hanbok I bought on ebay.  It was a 12 month and fit Mason like a glove.  His hair is messed up because of the holy water and cloves.  His hair smelled like cloves for 2 weeks even after washing it everyday.
